Watch the Airplanes at GRR

By Toni Garcia, Publisher and Editor July 5, 2018

Want something really fun to do? Load up the kids, bring some juice boxes, snacks and your camera then head on out to Gerald R. Ford International Airport.

According to the GRR website, on any given day, as many as 300 aircraft take off or land at GRR. From the Viewing Park and Observation Deck, "bird watchers" have an excellent view of aircraft activity. What's really cool is that while at the Viewing Park you can tune in your radio to 1650 AM and listen to air traffic controllers, pilots, and GFIAA airfield operations staff as they coordinate the safe passage of aircraft into and out of GRR!

THIS is definitely something you can't do in every city and something that's perfect for any age!

You can see their website here for all of the details, directions and more.
