Trying new things can be scary, especially for young children... and especially when it comes to food!
Family favorite, Pete the Cat, is back with a lesson of different tastes, acceptance, friendship and trying new things! While hosting a pizza party with friends, Pete piles his pizza high with his favorite topping, pepperoni. But then his friends come over and add their own toppings to the pizza. Will Pete’s perfect pizza be ruined? Or will pistachio pizza be accepted by the others?
We decided to find out for ourselves by hosting our very own Pete the Cat Pizza Party! Families from across the area gathered for a morning of fun, story time, sing-along, crafts and of course, pizza! As the children sat together listening to the new Pete the Cat and the Perfect Pizza Party book, it wasn't long before they started joining in on the fun by reading along! The repetitive and rhythmic style of the book made it great for a group but would also be perfect for a one-on-one story time with your little noodle!

As we got into the story, we were all laughing and chiming in with the toppings we would choose for ourselves! As Pete's friends were asking for pizza with their own choice of toppings, the question arose, would everyone agree? Would they be willing to try something new with their friends?
I won't ruin the fun for you, you'll have to see for yourself! Let's just say, it's all pretty GROOVY!
