Valentine's Day Breakfast with Hearts

By Toni Garcia, Publisher & Editor February 4, 2020

I love surprising my kids with fun, healthy and cute breakfasts for holidays like Valentine's Day! This 'Heart Breakfast' is a hit every Valentine's Day! I usually make four plates (two of each listed below)

Ingredients/Materials

  • Scrambled Eggs
  • Toast
  • Heart cookie cutter
  • Heart shaped sprinkles

Directions - Scrambled Eggs and Toast
  • Scramble eggs (I let them cook then flip omelet style so they're flat)
  • While scrambling, lightly toast and butter bread
  • When toast pops up, cut a heart out of the middle - set aside
  • Use cookie cutter to cut shape out of eggs
  • Plate and serve with a few heart sprinkles for a pop of color

Directions - Eggs Inside the Heart Toast
  • Once heart is cut out of the toast, butter the other side, place in pan
  • Drop an egg into the hole and let it cook, flipping just once or twice
  • When plated, flip so the egg white that ran off is on the bottom
  • Include a few heart sprinkles for color pop
